Southeast Chapter of the National Cartoonist Society Show and Reception
Join us on Saturday,March 3rd from 4:00 - 5:30 PM for our reception for original works and prints by artists from the Southeast Chapter of the National Cartoonists Society. Proceeds from this special sale will go toward the SECNCS and The Milt Gross Fund (the charitable branch of the National Cartoonists Society, known as the NCS Foundation, which benefits cartoonists in dire financial need). Cartoonists will be on hand to do sketches for members of the public for “as long as their arms hold out--or until they go to dinner.”

Artists of Note who plan to attend:  Marcus Hamilton, artist of Dennis the Menace daily panel;  Nick Meglin, former editor for MAD Magazine; Jack Pittman, SECNCS chairman and Wildlife in North Carolina illustrator; Art Roche, creator of Cartoon Network’s Nacho Bear; and Andy Smith, Artist for Marvel and DC.

We are currently accepting submissions from local and national artists.
We are looking for narrative, illustrative and playful Pop Art.

How much is space at ZaPow?
We are a collection of talented artists and writers but we are not a cooperative. We handle the sales for you and take a very small 10% commission. (vs. the typical 50% commission of most galleries). In place of large commissions, we rent spaces to selected artists and encourage them to set up and maintain their space in a way that best suits them. If an artist is not local, we will curate the exhibit at no extra cost.

In addition to the space that you rent we invite our artists to participate in group shows on our front wall. We are having an opening on February 11th for our Zombies and Lusty Ladies show and an opening for our Art with Heart show on February 12th. We only take a 10% commission for pieces sold on our front wall.

We are filling up quickly. The prices and sizes below reflect what is currently available in the gallery.

    6' x 2'  Gallery Wall ---- $55 monthly
    6' x 3'  Gallery Wall ---- $75 monthly
    10'x3'    Gallery Wall ---- $85 monthly
    6' x 4'  Gallery Wall  ---- $125 monthly

• We handle all the reporting of taxes on sales, we purchase retail materials to package your art once it is purchased (Cool bags tissue etc.) and most importantly we present your art in a hip and amazing setting.
